Since we are a teaching college, several students may be
present in the room during the interview and treatment for instructional
purposes. All treatments in the college's teaching clinic are by appointment
only. The college operates over 40 hours of student and professional clinic
per week. Appointments can be made by calling the clinic number of the
campus where you seek treatment. Cancellations Since the college clinic is normally booked two weeks in advance, if you cannot make your appointment with us, we would appreciate twenty-four hours notice when possible. When patients cancel at the last minute or do not show up, we deny another patient the chance of treatment, students cannot learn, and the cost of clinical operations goes up accordingly. Please give us a call and we'll be happy to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Southwest Acupuncture Clinic offers a "'Volunteer Clinic Program" for patients who require health services but are unable to afford them. The volunteer program is provided for patients who are willing to take appointments on short notice, due to cancellations or unfilled slots. Short notice is defined as an open space in our scheduling that we would like to fill a few hours in advance. It is also defined as an appointment made after 1:00 p.m. for the next day--again to fill any open appointments in the schedule. In exchange for your flexibility, we give you the appointment at no charge. If this type of scheduling works for you, please let us know and we will put your name on our "volunteer list." To take advantage of the program, you need to call the office daily to see when we have openings. Of course you can schedule appointments as usual, but these
appointments are charged at our regular rates. If you have any questions
about this program please ask the receptionist at the clinic desk. They
will be happy to answer any of your questions.
