The College Clinic

in the Clinic
Southwest Acupuncture College offers a four-year full-time professional degree program leading to a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and preparation for licensing as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. Over one third of the 3,000 hours of study in our program is spent in the college clinic where students treat under the supervision of expert American and Asian practitioners.

Because students perform the treatments, and the college is committed to low cost health care, we try to keep our fees as low as possible. However there are costs naturally in running a clinic. The cost of treatment at Southwest Acupuncture College varies. Student intern treatments, performed by second and third year students, cost $25.00 (the first treatment is $18.00). Treatments given by a licensed practitioner with students observing cost $35.00. Herbal consultations where no acupuncture is performed are $10.00 but herbs cost extra.

Clinic Services

The clinical faculty and students at Southwest Acupuncture College believe in treating the whole person and guiding the patient back to life in balance. Towards this end, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition and patient education are provided. Southwest Acupuncture College maintains a complete Chinese herbal pharmacy and bookstore to meet your medical and informational needs. In the best interest of you, the patient, the college reserves the right to make referrals to other healthcare providers when needed.

The college does not have child care services and children are not allowed in the treatment rooms. Please arrange your appointment at a time when you can come to the clinic alone to enjoy your treatment and benefit from our expert medical care.

We look forward to your continued support in aiding us in our goal of educating independent healthcare practitioners in the field of Oriental medicine.
